Ecostal Through the Years

• 2008

  Company Founded by S. and A. Dauvister​

  Ecostal was founded in 2008 by two entrepreneurs passionate about energy and progress. Based in Liège, Belgium, the company set out to support photovoltaic installers with reliable, high-quality solutions, all while staying close to the real needs on the ground. This hands-on mindset still shapes how we work today.​

  

• 2010

  Growing to Meet the Demand​

  By 2010, both Ecostal and the solar sector were expanding quickly. To support more customers with the same level of responsiveness, the company moved into a larger facility — still anchored in Liège. It marked the beginning of Ecostal’s evolution from local partner to trusted industry player.​

  

• 2019

  Resilience Pays Off​

  After the sector-wide crisis in 2011, Ecostal focused on rebuilding. It took time, and the trust of loyal partners, to come back strong. By 2018, Ecostal had regained full momentum, reaching €25 million in turnover and proving that long-term commitment leads to lasting results.​

  

• 2020

  Investing in Growth and Service​

  Following several strong years, Ecostal continued its growth with a move to a new facility in Barchon, Liège. The site includes expanded offices and a 3,500 m² warehouse. This investment was designed to support faster delivery, improved logistics, and a higher level of service for customers across Belgium and beyond.​

  

• 2021

  Welcoming SigueSol into the Group​

  Ecostal expanded its technical expertise and services with the acquisition of Action Energie, later renamed SigueSol. Founded in 2008, SigueSol began in the residential sector before shifting its focus in 2012 to B2B solutions for ground-mounted and shade structures. In 2024, SigueSol officially became part of the Ecostal Group.​

  

• 2022

  Expanding into France​

  At the end of 2022, Ecostal France (SAS) was established in Béziers, in the south of France. This milestone marked the company’s first step beyond Belgium, expanding its reach and bringing Ecostal’s solutions closer to new regional markets.​

  

• 2023

  Uniting around in a Shared Vision​

  In 2023, Ecostal Group was officially formed, bringing together its entities under a shared structure and vision. A group CEO, management team, and independent board members were appointed to lead the next phase of growth. That same year, the Group created SigueSol SAS to expand its presence in France and acquired Project Zero (led by Jan Cieters), a Flemish wholesaler specializing in charging stations, energy management systems, and smart building technologies.​

  

• 2024

  Accelerating Growth Across Europe​

  In 2024, Ecostal Group expanded its European reach with the acquisition of Yomatec in France, led by Michel Ayache, and Solexis in Switzerland, driven by Frédéric Bichsel. These two trusted players strengthen our technical expertise and local presence. Backed by €100 million in new funding, we continue to invest in innovation, proximity, and long-term performance.

  

• 2025

  A year of expansion and acceleration for the Group.

  We launched our new distribution e-shops, giving professionals faster, simpler access to products across all markets.

  

• 2026

  A New Chapter Begins

  SigueSol took an important step in its international growth with the opening of its Italian subsidiary — strengthening our engineering footprint in Europe. Angelo Nogara joins us as Country Manager Italy.
