West of Colmar, the Ligelios solar plant is now fully operational. With 11.5 MWp installed, it generates the annual equivalent of the electricity consumption of more than 6,000 people and avoids nearly 3,300 tonnes of CO₂ each year. This ambitious project demonstrates how a former storage site can be transformed into a high-performing, long-lasting energy asset.

Project details

  • Location: Western outskirts of Colmar, France
  • Total installed power: 11.5 MWp
  • Energy impact: equivalent supply for over 6,000 people/year
  • CO₂ avoided: 3,300 tonnes per year
  • Number of modules: 21,006
  • Date: 27 November 2024

Site specifics

The plant was built on a former waste storage site, requiring a tailored approach to stabilise structures without disturbing the ground. To meet these constraints, our teams installed 2,334 concrete beams directly on the surface. This solution ensures reliable anchoring, avoids deep ground intervention, and provides a solid base for the 21,006 deployed modules.

Our response

ENGIE Green entrusted us with the full coordination of the structural scope, including:

  • Studies and structural sizing
  • Manufacturing and installation of the concrete beams
  • Screw installation
  • Assembly of structures and modules

This integrated work delivered a robust, efficient solar installation adapted to the realities of a sensitive site.
