In France, the “Le Pressoir” photovoltaic plant represents a new step forward for the region’s energy transition. With 9.1 MWp installed in the commune of Le Lude, the project—led by IEL Initiatives et Énergies Locales—supplies around 2,000 households with clean electricity each year and avoids 279 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. SigueSol supported the project with a flexible structural solution and full coordination of the structural scope.

Project details

  • Location: Le Lude, France
  • Total installed power: 9.1 MWp
  • Annual production: 9 GWh
  • Impact: equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of ~2,000 households (heating included)
  • CO₂ avoided: 279 tonnes per year
  • Number of modules installed: 15,696
  • Date: 2 December 2024

Site specifics

The terrain required on-site adjustments to foundation design. To ensure stability, performance, and controlled environmental impact, our teams deployed a mix of foundation screws and concrete beams—using concrete only where strictly necessary. This combination met the ground’s constraints while keeping the project’s carbon footprint low.

Our response

SigueSol managed the entire structural scope, from the initial study to the installation of all 15,696 modules. Our work included:

  • Site and constraint analysis
  • Recommendation and implementation of the adapted foundation mix
  • Complete assembly of the structures and panels

This integrated approach delivered a reliable, optimised solar plant that respects its environment, fully aligned with IEL’s ambitions.
