Photovoltaics at Ravago: an industrial installation built for power and energy autonomy
A major milestone has been reached in Ravago’s energy transition with the commissioning of a large-scale photovoltaic installation on the facility’s rooftop. Designed to deliver steady performance throughout the day, the system combines an optimized technical setup with equipment fully supplied by Ecostal Waregem, a specialist in reliable industrial-grade solar solutions.
Project details
- Number of panels: 1,418 Dual Glass modules
- Unit power: 705 Wp
- Total installed power: ~1 MWp
- Orientation: East–West
- Inverters: 5 inverters, total 625 kVA
- Monitoring: integrated SmartLogger system
- Partners: Ravago, Ceratec, Ecostal Waregem
Technical specifics
The installation uses an east–west configuration designed to capture sunlight from sunrise to sunset. This setup spreads production evenly across the day, reduces peak loads, and improves the system’s overall stability. Combined with Dual Glass technology, it maximizes durability and long-term performance—even in demanding industrial environments.
Our role
For the second time, Ravago selected Ceratec as its partner for a large-scale solar project—a clear vote of confidence in their industrial expertise. Ceratec supported the company from system design through to execution, while Ecostal Waregem supplied all solar panels and inverters. With SmartLogger monitoring, the installation benefits from continuous tracking to ensure optimal performance.
This rooftop plant significantly strengthens Ravago’s energy autonomy and plays an active role in reducing its carbon footprint—making it a concrete example of efficiency and long-term sustainability.
