Discreet solar integration: custom-made modules for a historic building
Solexis takes on the challenge of integrating solar energy seamlessly into its surroundings every day. In Ouchy (Lausanne), we recently supported a particularly demanding project: delivering a high-performance solar solution while meeting the strict requirements that apply to historic buildings.
Project details
- Location: Ouchy, Lausanne
- Main constraint: solar integration on a listed / historic building
- Technology used: custom Halfcut back-contact modules
- Module colour: grey, for a discreet visual finish
- Objective: combine energy performance with heritage integration
Site specifics
Located in a historic area, the building came with multiple constraints:
- Preservation of the original aesthetic
- Minimal visibility from public spaces
- Non-reflective appearance
- Perfectly uniform integration into the existing roof
To meet these requirements, Solexis developed custom modules whose texture, colour, and technology blend naturally into the building while delivering optimal performance.
Our response
Solexis oversaw the full integration process:
- Design of tailored modules
- Selection of discreet, high-performance technology
- Coordination with local architectural requirements
- Installation fully compliant with heritage standards
This project reflects our ability to adapt photovoltaic technology to complex environments, without compromising on quality, performance, or aesthetics.
