First community-owned ground-mounted solar park in the Grand Est region
In the commune of Écrouves, the Grand Est region’s first community-owned ground-mounted solar park is now operational. With 11.87 MWp installed, the site generates 12.6 GWh of green electricity per year—the equivalent of powering 2,740 households, heating included. Coordinated by ACTEAM ENR and driven by a coalition of public authorities and local citizens, the project demonstrates the strength of collaborative initiatives in accelerating the energy transition.
Project details
- Location: Écrouves, Grand Est region (France)
- Total installed power: 11.87 MWp
- Annual production: 12.6 GWh
- Impact: equivalent to 2,740 households supplied (heating included)
- Site area: 13 hectares
- Number of modules: nearly 19,500
- Foundations: 44 concrete beams + 4,354 foundation screws
- Citizen ownership: Communauté de Communes Terres Touloises, SEM SIPEnR, ENErgic SCIC, Énergie Partagée
Site specifics
Following a detailed study of the 13-hectare site, our teams recommended a mixed foundation solution combining 44 beams and 4,354 foundation screws. This approach allowed us to adapt precisely to soil variability while ensuring long-term structural stability. On this basis, nearly 19,500 photovoltaic modules were installed, securing consistent and reliable energy production.
Our response
SigueSol delivered a fully integrated service covering the entire structural scope:
- Structural studies and sizing
- Installation of foundations (screws + beams)
- Assembly of structures
- Panel installation
Thanks to this end-to-end approach, the project was completed successfully, enabling the commissioning of a citizen-owned solar park that has been supplying local residents since last May. A flagship initiative showing how technical expertise and collective engagement can bring a durable, ambitious photovoltaic installation to life.
