Solar façade in Lausanne: a discreet and elegant integration
Installing photovoltaic panels on a façade in Lausanne is a real technical challenge. Between aesthetic constraints, strict visibility rules, fire-safety requirements and anti-reflective obligations, every step demands precise engineering. In collaboration with Mo Energy Systems, Solexis rose to the challenge and delivered an exemplary installation—elegant, compliant, and fully approved by the authorities.
Project details
- Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
- Energy target: 30 kWp to achieve Minergie-P certification
- Module types: dedicated range of 6 custom formats developed by Solexis
- Mounting systems:
- green roof with Zinco 30° structure
- perimeter modules on bitumen
- insulated façade with 8 mm glass-glass anti-reflective fire-rated modules
- Partners: Mo Energy Systems
- Approval: fully compliant with local regulatory requirements
Site specifics
The façade was insulated, located in a dense urban environment, and subject to several constraints:
- No reflectivity allowed
- Discreet integration with perfect visual alignment
- Reinforced fire-safety standards for all modules
- Visibility from neighbouring buildings kept to an absolute minimum
To meet these criteria, Solexis developed a complete range of custom modules, integrated seamlessly without compromising aesthetics or performance.
Our response
Thanks to close collaboration between Solexis R&D and Mo Energy Systems, the project was designed, sized, and installed with high precision. Solexis delivered:
- Development of custom modules (6 distinct formats)
- Full technical and regulatory management
- Integration on insulated façade
- Overall project coordination
The result: a discreet, efficient, fully certified installation that demonstrates Solexis’s ability to push solar forward even where it once seemed nearly impossible.
