This project marks a major milestone for solar development in Belgium. With a total installed capacity of 59.68 MWp, this photovoltaic field is now the largest in Wallonia. Designed to maximise production throughout the day, it showcases SigueSol’s ability to manage large-scale projects with precision, responsiveness, and technical excellence.

Project details

  • Location: Belgium
  • Total installed power: 59.68 MWp
  • Configuration: East/West
  • Date: 02 December 2024
  • Number of panels: ±90,000
  • Foundations: 16,308 foundation screws
  • Surface area: equivalent to 56 football fields

Site specifics

The exceptional size of the site posed a substantial technical and logistical challenge. Covering the equivalent of 56 football fields with nearly 90,000 modules requires meticulous organisation and complete control of the terrain. The East/West configuration distributes production across the full day, while anchoring the park on 16,308 foundation screws ensures long-term stability and durability—even at this scale.

Our response

SigueSol delivered a full-service scope, from structural sizing to panel installation, including site management and team coordination. In just 10 months, every step was executed with precision to deliver a high-performing, reliable solar field tailored to the site’s specific constraints.

This project reflects our ability to handle XL-scale installations with the same level of quality and discipline we apply to more compact sites — an approach where expertise, rigour, and partnership remain at the heart of every project.
